I’m also lucky to work with Ian Watkins, who brings a completely different kind of expertise to our projects. With a background in firefighting and heavy equipment construction — and having grown up around the trades — he understands how buildings actually come together in a way that most designers don’t. When your designer has someone on the team who knows construction from the inside out, your project benefits in ways that are hard to see on paper but easy to feel in the finished result.

 I come at this from a different angle. Before joining PWR, I spent years fighting fires and running heavy equipment — and I grew up around the trades, so job sites aren’t new to me. I don’t just think about how a room looks. I think about how it gets built.

That’s the part you won’t see on paper, but you’ll feel it in the finished space — nothing gets missed, nothing gets guessed at.
